It's time to talk more about apps developed by Indians


After the banning of 59 Chinese apps Indian app market have seen a huge growth in app market. Many developers are trying to introduce new and interesting concept in the apps.


Make in India is another program launched by the government that is pushing Indian developers and entrepreneur to make their own app and distribute it within the country.


1. Paytm

"Paytm karo"

Paytm was founded in August 2010 Vijay Shekhar Sharma in Noida, the parent company of Paytm is One97 Communications. It started off as a prepaid mobile and DTH recharge platform, and later added data card, postpaid mobile and landline bill payments in 2013.

Paytm is a abbreviation for "pay through mobile", an Indian multinational technology company that specializes e-commerce, finance and in digital payment system. It's head office is in Noida.

There are currently 11 Indian languages available in Paytm and the services offered by Paytm has expanded over the years, now a user can do mobile recharges, bill payment, money transfer and can use the app for small purchases also from local stores.



    2. KnoBee

"A new era of social media"

KnoBee Social India Private Limited is a Noida-based startup company which is founded in 2021. KnoBee India has developed the first fully indigenous mobile application where people can collectively socialize with families in family, mates, and followers.

You can find many new relations or can find your old friends and mates. You can communicate with them without knowing their number also you can make your own wall where other can follow you.

The amazing concept behind the app is that once you connect with your family and your family connect with their families it makes a long chain of connections. You can also connect with your friends and mates to share your media through feeds and chat with ease.


3. Zomato

"Never had a bad meal"

Zomato earlier known as Foodiebay is an Indian multinational restaurant aggregator and food delivery company founded by Deepinder Goyal, Pankaj Chaddah, and Gunjan Patidar in 2008.

Zomato provides information, menus and user-reviews of restaurants as well as food delivery options from partner restaurants in select cities. As of 2021, Zomato provides service in 63 cities in the country, out of which the have office in 17.



     4. DailyHunt

"India ka app India ke liye!"

With over more tham 100 million downloads, Dailyhunt is the Indian app founded by an entrepreneur, Virendra Gupta with headquarter in Banglore.

Dailyhunt becomes India's first tech unicorn focused on local languages, after its parent organization, VerSe Innovation receives funding of over $100 million led by Google, Microsoft, and Falcon Edge’s Alpha Wave Incubation, now at a valuation of more than $1 billion.



5. Phonepe

"Karte ja badhte ja"

PhonePe is an Indian digital payments and financial services company which is acquired by Flipkart with it's headquartered in Bangalore, India. PhonePe was founded in December 2015, by Sameer Nigam, Rahul Chari and Burzin Engineer.

The PhonePe app is available in over 11 Indian languages. Using PhonePe, users can send and receive money, recharge mobile, DTH, data cards, make utility payments, pay at shops, invest in tax saving funds, liquid Funds, buy insurance and mutual funds and gold. 

The PhonePe app, based on the Unified Payments Interface which went live in August 2016.
